Pull child name or external reference ID into ADEX ITS file output
The ITS file identifies the child by LENA child key only. No name or other ID information is included in the ITS, though the last 5 digits of the childkey, to the right of the decimal, are also the LENA Child ID.
To pull the child's name or external reference ID (ERID) into your ADEX output you will reference the Participant export, which contains the child key, child name, and ERID.
- Output your desired ITS file data using ADEX.
- Export the relevant participant list from the Data Exports > Operational Data screen.
- Join the information from two sheets by adding a column to your ITS data with a vertical lookup formula (VLOOKUP in Excel). The formula should find the child key from the ITS file in the participant list to pull in the corresponding identifier of choice (name or ERID).
Other formulas work well, too - INDEX with match is another option.
